Licensed Automatic Updates

How entitled WordPress update delivery works.

Instant Language Switcher v0.20.0 adds the client-side entitlement hooks required for licensed WordPress updates through the Stardetha store.

Update flow

WordPress checks for plugin updates
          ↓
Instant Language Switcher asks Stardetha licensing endpoint
          ↓
License + site + product entitlement validated
          ↓
Version metadata returned
          ↓
Authorized download package returned to WordPress
          ↓
Normal WordPress “Update now” workflow

Store-side release process

For each public release:

1. Build and validate the Instant Language Switcher ZIP.
2. Register/check the release in Stardetha Licensing → Releases.
3. Verify product name and version.
4. Record/check the SHA-256 checksum.
5. Attach the approved ZIP to the Easy Digital Downloads product/update record.
6. Set the software version and changelog.
7. Configure minimum WordPress/PHP requirements where applicable.
8. Publish/update the product.
9. Test update discovery from a licensed staging site before broad release.

Expired licenses

A customer with an expired/non-entitled license does not receive protected update packages through the licensed updater. Existing installed plugin code and stored translations are not removed.

• license status persistence
• provider diagnostics
• Translate Entire Site
• translated routing
• frontend switching
• update rollback/backup strategy on staging
